Golden Discs are thrilled to announce the opening of a new city centre flagship store in Dublin’s Stephen’s Green Centre on Saturday October 22nd. Needing more space for the ever-expanding categories of vinyl and merchandise, they are relocating to a much bigger unit in the Centre. This larger space will allow Golden Discs to offer a more extensive range of vinyl, with 50% of the new space dedicated to entertainment related product.
POP! is the exciting new merchandise brand the company launched earlier this year selling everything from t-shirts and apparel, posters and books to figurines and collectibles of all things pop culture. The new store in Stephen’s Green will carry literally thousands of product lines catering for diehard fans and will also be the ideal shopping destination for those looking for interesting and unique gifts.
In addition to a much larger and more comprehensive vinyl section, the store will also have Ireland’s largest selection of turntables, speakers, and headphones from brands like Sony, Lenco and Audio-Technica to name just a few.
‘We are delighted to be opening our new Dublin city centre flagship store this month as we celebrate our 60th birthday. The new store will bring us back to our roots as Ireland’s favourite music chain and will carry a huge selection of vinyl and the country’s largest selection of record players, as well as our new POP! concept store packed with ‘merch’ from the worlds of music, film and TV,’ said Stephen Fitzgerald, CEO of Golden Discs.
The new large format store will also enable Golden Discs to bring music fans even more of the instore performances and signings that they love. 2022 has already seen artists including Gavin James, Róisín O, Jack Lukeman, CMAT and The Coronas perform, and the staff look forward to welcoming more incredible talent through their doors in the months ahead.
Golden Discs Stephen’s Green opens Saturday October 22nd and will employ 20 staff. This fantastic new addition to the store portfolio is the latest jewel in the Golden Discs crown in their landmark 60th year.
