LEARNING is a critical element of the Retail Excellence Ireland proposition.
We plan the following activity in 2010:
Owners Forum: We will host two major owner forum meetings in Athlone in 2010. These meetings will involve a mix of presentations and round table networking sessions. The theme of these meetings will be preparing for the upturn. The owner forum meetings are important networking events.
Multi-site Meetings: We will host two multi-site meetings in Dublin in 2010. These meetings involve REI members who operate ten stores or more. The focus of these meetings is to discuss trading, property productivity and other critical industry issues.
Best Practice Visits: We will arrange four visits to leading retailers at home and abroad in 2010. We plan a visit to the UK in association with the British Retail Consortium.
Mentoring Programme: We will launch a mentoring programme in 2010 which will involve the selection of best in class retail leaders, each with specialist expertise, which will be shared with members in need of assistance and advice in that particular area of expertise.
Specialist Meetings: We will host a number of specialist meetings including REI Telco, REI Pharmacy, REI HR Directors, REI Retail Park Tenants and more. Please advise if you would like us to organise a specialist meeting for your sector or area of interest.
HRM Advice: As in previous years we will offer all members a complementary HRM phone advisory service which better informs members as to their legal obligations, labour laws, best HRM practice and assists you in your day to day HRM decisions.
