REI research consists of various reports throughout the year. Our research interventions are designed to guide members as to what is happening in the retail industry. The research includes:
– REI Quarterly Productivity Review which measures trading performance in 14 retail sectors.
– REI Christmas Trading Statements update members regarding Christmas spending.
– REI Retail Park and Shopping Centre reviews monitor performance of retail schemes.
– REI eCommerce Dashboard reports monthly on key online metrics.
Trading Statements: REI works with all members to disseminate a trading update in December (REI Christmas Trading Statement). This qualitative, two-part report will give retailers some insight on how they are trading versus the market on the run up to the crucial Christmas trading period.
Primary Research: Every year REI undertakes a programme of primary research. This research is conducted by a 3rd party retail company. Frequently this research assesses retail brand awareness levels and retail brand attributes.
Other Research: REI conducts many other research initiatives including member surveys, retail industry salary insights, shopping centre and retail park productivity.
