Kevin Neary joins Johnston Shopfitters as non-Executive Director

Kevin Neary is the co-founder and former Managing Director of the GameStop Group in Ireland and UK, originally Gamesworld Ltd. Kevin directed GameStop Ireland and UK from start up in 1994 to its market leading position as the largest video game retailer in Ireland in 2011and its sale to GameStop Corp, a NYSE quoted and Fortune 300 company. 

 

He also led the growth of the company from start up to employing 500 people with 60 stores in Ireland and UK with sales revenues in excess of €80m. 

 

Kevin has mentored and invested in several companies including Demonware (sold to Activision, the largest video games publisher in the world) and Jolt Online Gomes (sold to GameStop Corp.) 

 

Kevin has a Masters of Philosophy in Entrepreneurship, is a Charted Director and is a Non Executive Director of the executive council of the Institute of Directors of Ireland. He is also an investor and Non Executive Director of Lightkeeper Media Ltd.
