LEARNING is a critical element of the Retail Excellence Ireland proposition. We operate a learning calendar primarily based on peer to peer networking and leading expert interventions.
The training calendar opens with the return of Alf Dunbar - ‘You Are The Difference’. This exceptional customer service training workshop is specifically designed for frontline team members. Alf will deliver these workshops in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin on Wednesday 15th February and in The Clarion Hotel, Lapps Quay, Cork on Thursday 16th February. The workshops will commence at 09.00 and conclude at 12.30. Alf will equip frontline team members with the skills to ensure enhanced customer engagement and the delivery of impressive customer care standards resulting in increased sales and guaranteeing return custom.
‘Modern Buying & Merchandise Planning Practices’ is a 3 day programme specifically designed for owners, buyers and merchandise planners. Buying and merchandise planning is the single most controllable source of profit and cash flow. The programme will be delivered by John Hogan, Rhodium Retail. John will focus on the science behind better buying, stronger negotiation skills and merchandise planning. John Hogan has 24 years of retail experience in both the UK and Ireland in Fashion, Convenience, Department Store and Sports retailing and he worked in Heatons Department Stores for 13 years where he was instrumental in modernising buying practices and the establishment of a strategic Merchandise Planning division. Window and Interior Display is a one day workshop which combines two aspects which are critical to the success of every store – creative window and interior display. Lara Snider is an international design consultant who has worked with some of the best known global brands such as Ralph Lauren and also worked both on and off screen with Feargal Quinn’s Retail Therapy Show on RTE. Lara will train team members responsible for window and interior display on:
• Re-inventing and refreshing store space instantly
• Planning for seasonal and promotion activity
• Creating a unique customer experience which sets your store above the competition and enhances your brand
• Sourcing props and materials
• Using your space dynamically to draw in customers and increasing dwelling time
