What We Do

Learning - We deliver a range of learning interventions specific to the needs of retail owners including conferences, case study visits to leading stores and member networking events....
 
Research - We collect and collate industry trading data for eleven retail sectors including monthly industry performance, quarterly trading performance, sales per square foot, average transaction values, wage costs and rent costs. Over 400 companies participate in this research.
 
Commercial Services - Our members enjoy complimentary Human Resource Management advice and legal advice from our retained consultants. We also buy media for our larger members and assist members with their rent review and rates appeal queries.
 
Representation - We communicate issues of significant industry relevance to Government and work hard to ensure our Industry's voice is heard. We actively lobby Government on untenable upward only rent costs, equitable local authority rates, the abolition of JLC labour agreements and the retention of the retail planning guidelines in their current form. We also liaise with other Government Departments and other parties on many other industry matters.
 
Retail Excellence - We host the Retail Excellence Ireland Awards in association with the Sunday Independent. The retail awards boast over 600 entries annually - we celebrate and applaud Ireland's best stores, companies, people and websites.
