HRM Advice: We will offer all members a complimentary HRM “over the phone” advisory service which better informs members as to their legal obligations, labour laws, best HRM practice and assists you in your day to day HRM decisions.

 

Retail Excellence Ireland is aware of the critical role employees play in the success of retail stores. For this reason we have established a relationship with Tom Smyth & Associates, HR Consultants, to ensure REI members have access to relevant and practical advice for queries in relation to an aspect of Human Resources, Employment Law and Industrial Relations.

 

This service is phone support based and is subject to a password which is accessible to Full REI members.

 

The recession has led to many retailers facing difficult decisions in relation to labour costs and it can be difficult to manage cost reduction in the correct way to avoid legal costs but also in a way that minimises the negative consequences such as poor morale.
